Seeking a BC Ophthalmologist for Call Coverage in North Carolina

Coverage Need: September 17, 8AM to September 24, 8AM. The provider will need to arrive the day before for orientation. There is potential for ongoing coverage.

Responsibilities include:

• Evaluating all hospital and ED consults, including trauma assessment and surgical treatment
• Handling inpatient and outpatient cases only
• Providing 24-hour call coverage
• Residing within 20 minutes of ECU Health Medical Center during on-call periods
• EPIC EMR training preferred
• Expected volume: 5-8 patients per day
• Average patients per provider: 5-6
• Will not respond to codes
• No ICU or critical care duties
• Required procedures include: repair of ruptured globe, eyelid laceration repair, removal of corneal foreign body
