Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a Patient Care Associate I (Float) in Ophthalmology to support both clerical and clinical duties on campus. You will assist with scheduling, charting, and basic patient care under supervision, ensuring clean rooms and proper equipment handling.

Remote work is not involved in this onsite posting. The role requires a high school diploma and BLS within a month of hire; ACLS and medical assistants training are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 1 month of hire; ACLS also listed as preferred.
• Medical assistant training or some college preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides clerical and administrative support, including answering phones and scheduling.
• Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations and maintains equipment.
• Interviews patients to collect medical information and coordinates records.
