Job summary

Oscar seeks an experienced Medical Reviewer with ophthalmology background to support a Medical Affairs organization on a contract basis. You will conduct medical and scientific review across promotional, non-promotional, pipeline and clinical materials.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of direct MLR experience, a doctorate-level degree, and Veeva PromoMats familiarity. You will work cross-functionally and manage multiple reviews to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate-level degree required (MD, DO, OD, PharmD, PhD or equivalent).
  • 3–5 years of direct Medical Review experience in an MLR environment.
  • Experience reviewing pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences materials.
  • Strong understanding of medical and scientific claims with supporting references.
  • Ability to work independently and provide medical guidance in cross-functional discussions.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical and scientific review of promotional and non-promotional materials.
  • Evaluate medical accuracy, interpretation of clinical data, and alignment with evidence.
  • Review clinical claims, references, data presentations, and disease-state information.
  • Participate in MLR review meetings and provide actionable medical feedback.
  • Manage review cycles, deadlines, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Support submission, review, and approval workflows through Veeva PromoMats.
  • Independently manage multiple reviews and priorities.
