Aya Locums is seeking a locum ophthalmologist in Henderson, NV. The assignment runs for 13 weeks with a standard 5, 8-hour shift (09:00–17:00). Start date is 10-05-26.

The position involves patient exams and a range of eye surgeries in an outpatient clinic setting. Ideal candidates hold MD/DO with ophthalmology residency and ABO/AOBO board certification, Nevada license, and at least one year of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Residency in ophthalmology accredited by ACGME or AOA.
• ABO or AOBO board certification in ophthalmology.
• Active Nevada medical license.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and manage a broad range of ocular conditions including glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
• Perform routine eye exams and ophthalmic surgeries (cataract removal, LASIK, corneal transplants).
• Educate patients about eye conditions, treatment options, and post-operative care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans.
• Respond to ophthalmic emergencies and provide timely treatment or referrals.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
