Aya Locums has an immediate locum Ophthalmology opening in Lawton, OK. You will diagnose, treat, and manage a broad range of eye conditions and collaborate with hospital teams for patient care.

The position requires an MD or DO with ophthalmology residency, board certification, and an Oklahoma medical license. The assignment runs 13 weeks with standard hours and no on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Residency in ophthalmology recognized by ACGME or AOA.
• Board certification in ophthalmology and Oklahoma license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat and manage ocular conditions including glaucoma and cataracts.
• Perform ophthalmic surgeries such as cataract removal and LASIK.
• Educate patients on conditions, options and post-operative care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain records.
• Respond to emergencies and refer when needed.
