Job summary

Aya Locums has an immediate opening for a locum ophthalmology physician in Henderson, NV. The assignment spans 13 weeks with a standard 5-day, 8-hour daytime schedule (09:00 – 17:00) and no call. The outpatient clinic setting offers competitive pay and dedicated support from Aya Locums.

Applicants should hold an MD or DO with ophthalmology residency, board certification, and an active NV license. Prior clinical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Ophthalmology residency accredited by ACGME or AOAO.
• Board certification in ophthalmology (ABO or AOBO).
• Active, unrestricted Nevada medical license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat and manage ocular conditions including glaucoma and cataracts.
• Perform ophthalmic surgeries such as cataract removal and LASIK.
• Conduct routine eye exams and provide patient education.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and respond to emergencies.
