EMR Epic is used for documentation. The role requires MD/DO with licensure, ophthalmology training, and board certification or eligibility, with a focus on patient-centered care and clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active, unrestricted medical license
• Specialty training or experience in Ophthalmology
• Associate-level experience in ophthalmology/medical practice
• Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology preferred
• Proficient in ophthalmic examination techniques and equipment
• Ability to work on-site in Danville, PA and follow HIPAA standards
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Commitment to CME and licensure requirements

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive ophthalmic evaluations and measurements
• Diagnose and manage glaucoma, cataracts, AMD, diabetic eye disease, and other ocular conditions
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on findings
• Prescribe medications and therapies within contract privileges
• Document in EMR and maintain accurate medical records
• Collaborate with technicians, optometrists, physicians, and staff
• Supervise residents and APPs; adhere to safety and regulatory standards
