Job summary

The Ophthalmologist will provide on-site ophthalmology services for Alameda Health System, employed by Alameda Health Medical Group. Services will be on-site at Highland Hospital, San Leandro Hospital and Alameda Hospital.

The role includes covering ophthalmology call, potential subspecialty focus, teaching students and residents, and contributing to quality and process improvement within the Division.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board eligible or board certified in ophthalmology.
• California medical license required.
• Valid DEA number required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site ophthalmology services at multiple Alameda Health System facilities.
• Cover ophthalmology call to ensure continuous coverage.
• Work across Highland, San Leandro and Alameda Hospitals as needs evolve.
• Teach medical students, residents and fellows as part of a teaching hospital.
