Job summary

Alameda Health System in Oakland, CA, seeks an Ophthalmologist to provide on-site ophthalmology services across Highland Hospital, San Leandro Hospital and Alameda Hospital. The role includes clinical duties, some call coverage, and collaboration with students, residents and fellows.

The ideal candidate will be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Ophthalmology, hold a California medical license and a valid DEA number, and commit to quality improvement within the Division.

Qualifications

• MD/DO in ophthalmology is required.
• Completion of an approved residency.
• Board eligible or board certified in Ophthalmology.
• Valid California medical license.
• DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide ophthalmology services across Alameda Health System sites.
• Cover ophthalmology call to ensure continuous coverage.
• Cover multiple clinical sites around Alameda County; sites may change over time.
• Work with medical students, residents and fellows; teaching is encouraged.
• Contribute to quality and process improvement for the Division.
