Responsibilities

Mayo Clinic’s Department of Ophthalmology in Rochester, MN is seeking a board-eligible/board-certified, fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon to join our established practice. This position involves clinical care of patients, a busy surgical practice, and resident and fellow teaching and supervision in the clinics and operating rooms. Candidates should have an academic interest in clinical and/or laboratory research. The department has a strong history and tradition in treating patients with serious and complex eye disease, and currently comprises 40 faculty members who cover all subspecialty areas of ophthalmology. Candidates should be board-certified or board-eligible.

Compensation Detail

The minimum starting salary for surgical specialties may range from $279,000 to $814,000. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
