Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a board-certified ophthalmologist to join our comprehensive eye care team.

The physician will provide ophthalmologic services in both clinic and hospital settings, performing exams, managing diseases, and leading surgical care with emphasis on patient-centered outcomes. You will participate in quality improvement initiatives, education for trainees, and continuous professional development while ensuring exceptional patient and family experiences

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completed residency in Ophthalmology.
• Board certification in Ophthalmology.
• Valid state medical license to practice ophthalmology.
• Fellowship training in a subspecialty (e.g., retina, cornea, glaucoma)

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations to diagnose eye diseases and injuries.
• Prescribe and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses as applicable.
• Conduct high quality surgical procedures.
• Manage pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery.
• Diagnose and treat ocular diseases; provide emergency eye care.
• Collaborate with other clinicians to develop patient treatment plans; participate in education and quality initiatives.
