Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience in an ophthalmology or vision care setting.
• BLS certification required.
• Ophthalmic Assistant Certificate is required.
• EPIC charting experience required.
• Experience with vision insurance and benefit plans required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for ophthalmic examinations and record medical histories.
• Perform vision screening tests and other assessments.
• Assist physicians during eye exams and procedures.
• Administer prescribed eye drops and maintain exam rooms.
• Provide patient education on eye medications and post-procedure care.
