Qualifications
Minimum 6 months of experience in an ophthalmology or vision care setting.
BLS certification required.
Ophthalmic Assistant Certificate is required.
EPIC charting experience required.
Experience with vision insurance and benefit plans required.
Responsibilities
Prepare patients for ophthalmic examinations and record medical histories.
Perform vision screening tests and other assessments.
Assist physicians during eye exams and procedures.
Administer prescribed eye drops and maintain exam rooms.
Provide patient education on eye medications and post-procedure care.
