Job summary

Bennett & Bloom Eye Centers in New Albany, IN seeks an Ophthalmic Technician to support the ophthalmology team. The role provides on-the-job training with prior medical/eyecare experience preferred and includes travel to other offices as needed.

Responsibilities include facilitating patient flow, assisting with preliminary testing, verifying insurance, and maintaining EMR records while delivering friendly, professional service to patients and doctors alike.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of related experience and/or training.
• Favorable background check.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient flow and assist the doctor in preliminary testing.
• Verify patient information and current insurance coverage.
• Communicate effectively with patients, doctors, and managers.
• Answer inquiries via phone, email, and in person requests.
