Job summary

ROUSE EyeCARE CENTER, a family-owned eye care practice in Washington, seeks an Ophthalmic Technician / Scribe / Medical Assistant. The ideal candidate will support Dr. Rouse and staff in a fast-paced environment, with responsibilities spanning patient care, testing, and documentation.

Experience in eye care is preferred, with training available for missing skills. Strong multitasking and communication skills are essential for success, as is accuracy in typing and computer usage.

Qualifications

• Eye care experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to multitask and communicate clearly.
• Proficiency with typing and computer use is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the doctor in patient care, including administering eye drops.
• Conducting patient interviews (histories, review of systems, chief complaints).
• Measuring visual acuity.
• Performing refractions.
• Conducting applanation tonometry.
• Documenting Visual Fields, SD-OCT, Fundus Photography, Ultrasound (UBM, A/B scans).
• Working with Visual Electrophysiology, AR, Pachymetry, Topography, Opt-Align and related tests.

We are a highly dedicated, family owned Eye Care practice serving Lacey, WA and surrounding areas. We are seeking a professional, caring, and dedicated person who is proficient in multitasking and has excellent communication skills. ROUSE EyeCARE CENTER is dedicated to the highest quality of care to our patients. New hire would work directly with Dr. Rouse and other staff members. This position requires a lot of tempo and hustle. A positive \"self starter\" attitude with a patient focused mindset.

Current experience in Eye Care is a Must, although willing to train on any missing skills from list below...

• Assisting the doctor in patient care (including administering eye drops)
