Miller Ophthalmology Associate is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician/Scribe to join our team in Whippany, NJ. You will conduct initial assessments, take patient histories, and perform tests such as intraocular pressure measurements and refractions.

You will assist doctors with in-office procedures and educate patients on eye health. Ideal candidates have strong customer service, excellent organization, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

Job Summary

We are seeking an Ophthalmic Technician or Ophthalmic Scribe to join our team! As an Ophthalmic Technician/Scribe, you will be responsible for conducting the initial assessment of a patient, including listening to their complaints or concerns, obtaining a relevant medical history, and measuring intraocular pressures, refraction, visual acuities, and more. You will also assist as needed with procedures done by the doctor in-office, help educate patients on eye health and best practices, and maintain an organized, clean work environment at all times. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, exceptional customer service skills, and is extremely organized. Experince with IOLMaster and Pentacam helpful, manual refraction is a plus, but we are willing to train. We use MODMED as our EHR. JCAHPO certification encouraged.
