Job summary

Eye Specialist of Napa Valley is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our growing team in Napa Valley. Ideally 2–3 years of experience in an ophthalmology practice, with willingness to scribe. Ophthalmic certification is a big plus but not required.

This is a Monday - Friday Day Shift with NO Weekends and NO Holidays. We offer a comprehensive wellness package, health insurance, 401k matching, PTO and paid holidays to help you balance personal and professional growth.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as an Ophthalmology Technician.
• Ophthalmology scribing experience is a big plus.
• Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support fast-paced clinic workflows.
• Interview patients and document histories accurately.
• Keep charts updated and accurate.
• Demonstrate knowledge of eye anatomy, diseases and ocular medications.
• Perform diagnostics including HVF, lensometry, keratometry, tonometry, visual fields, amsler, muscle fields, pupil exams and refracting.
• Be proficient with EMR and other clinic software.
• Check patients' vision and identify chief complaints.
