  • Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical supplies and equipment
  • Help maintain efficient patient flow and physician schedules
  • Recognize when clinical concerns need to be escalated to the physician or manager
  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with children, parents, and caregivers
  • Follow established clinical protocols and practice procedures
Team Support

Because we are a small, team-oriented practice, all staff members may occasionally assist outside of their primary role when coverage is needed. This may include basic front-office support such as answering phones, scheduling, check-in/check-out, or insurance verification.

Qualifications
  • Previous ophthalmology or ophthalmic technician experience strongly preferred
  • Pediatric ophthalmology experience is a plus, but not required
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
  • Comfortable working with children of all ages
  • Strong computer and EHR skills
  • Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to multitask
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Strong attention to detail and clinical judgment
  • Professional, positive, and team-oriented
  • Willing to learn pediatric ophthalmology protocols and specialty workflows

COA or COT certification is a plus but is not required.

What We’re Looking For

We value team members who communicate well, follow through on responsibilities, and take pride in providing excellent patient care.

Compensation

$22–$28 per hour, depending on ophthalmology experience, certification, bilingual skills, and overall qualifications.

Benefits may include health insurance, paid holidays, PTO, 401(k), uniforms, continuing education, and certification support.
