Job summary

Sight Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our clinical team in Renton, WA. The role focuses on accurate documentation, patient workups, and assisting ophthalmologists with testing and procedures.

Responsibilities include operating ophthalmic equipment, triaging patient calls, and ensuring clear patient education and instructions. A high school diploma plus ophthalmic assistant experience is required; COA/COT preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of medical coding terminology and conventions.
• Proficiency with computers, MS Office and G‑Suite environments.
• Willingness to help in all areas and work in a team environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Summarize and document examination findings and recommendations accurately.
• Maintain patient flow and communication regarding appointment status.
• Assist ophthalmologists with patient workups and testing.
• Administer eye medications and provide patient education.
• Operate ophthalmic equipment (Auto Refractor, Phoropters, Slit Lamp, OCT devices).
• Triages calls and ensures appropriate information is conveyed to patients.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain ophthalmic instruments.
• Assist patients with inserting or removing contact lenses.
