Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician in Henrico, VA. You will assist ophthalmologists, perform initial testing, and ensure accurate EMR documentation while delivering excellent patient care.

The role requires open availability within Mon-Fri 7am-5:30pm, travel between offices, and a willingness to work extra hours as needed. Benefits include medical, vision, dental, life insurance, and 401k with matching.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; one year of related experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain HIPAA confidentiality and provide empathetic patient care.
• Strong communication and organizational skills for clinic flow.
• Willingness to work over 40 hours and travel between locations when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone).
• Greet patients promptly, maintain a professional attitude, and thank them on departure.
• Anticipate physician needs to facilitate clinic flow and schedule.
• Record patient medical history, current medications, and visit purpose in EMR.
• Open/close exam rooms and keep rooms stocked and clean; perform basic testing.
• Assist ophthalmologists with tests such as visual fields, OCT, and topography.
