Job summary

Quantum Vision Centers in Maryville, IL is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to assist ophthalmologists and prepare patients for exams using diagnostic equipment.

The ideal candidate will have strong patient care, HIPAA compliance, and the ability to operate EMR and diagnostic tools such as OCT, visual field tests, and topography; comfortable working extended hours and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum: 1 year of related experience and/or training.
• Current COA/COT preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient service in person or by phone.
• Greet patients professionally and manage their flow in the clinic.
• Assist ophthalmologist with tests and exams.
• Record patient history and medications; document in EMR.
• Operate diagnostic equipment (OCT, visual fields, GDX, IOL master, auto refractor, topography).
• Maintain room cleanliness and stock supplies.
• Comply with HIPAA and company policies.
