Job summary

Eye Health Vision Centers in Middletown, RI seeks an Ophthalmic Technician for a part-time position. The role includes preparing patients for exams, performing basic vision screening, administering eye medications, and assisting physicians during minor procedures. The schedule runs Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at our Middletown clinic.

A high school diploma is required; training is provided. Medical experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Obtain medical and eye history from patient and document information using the EHR system.
• Prepare examination and treatment rooms.
• Performs screening and testing (will train) to prepare the patient for doctor’s exam including visual acuity, color vision testing, auto-lensometry, autorefraction, tonometry, Amsler grid, pupil evaluation, and other testing as needed.
• Will train to maintain and calibrate ophthalmic and surgical instruments.
• Must have clear understanding of company policies including the company manual.
• You will be required to travel to other location for business needs.
