Job summary

Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston, Inc. is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician II to support physicians in comprehensive ophthalmic care. You will assist with data collection, patient testing and record keeping in a busy clinical setting.

Responsibilities include visual acuity, visual field, lensometry, refraction, tonometry, and eye drop administration, while maintaining a smooth workflow and high-quality patient experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• COA/COT/COMT/OSC/CRA or OCT-C certifications preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of COA/COT/COMT/OSC/CRA or OCT-C experience.
• Proficiency in refractometry and tonometry; strong math/science skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with patient data collection and exam setup.
• Perform visual acuity, visual field, lensometry, auto refractometry and refractometry.
• Conduct pupil assessment, EOM, external exam, tonometry and tonopen tests.
• Administer eye drops and participate in patient care in clinic.
• Maintain patient records and ensure efficient workflow.
