Job summary

Georgia Eye Partners, part of EyeSouth Partners, is a specialty eye care practice in Metro Atlanta. We seek an ophthalmic technician to support ophthalmologists and optometrists, gathering data on ocular health and performing clinical tests.

You will act as a medical scribe, take histories, record acuity, administer medications as directed, and assist with in-office procedures. A high school diploma is preferred, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; related experience preferred.
• Nextech/ICP experience strongly preferred.
• Ophthalmic/optometric technician experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Review patient charts for completeness and accuracy.
• Perform testing ordered by doctor according to exam type.
• Act as medical scribe, entering data into EMR during exams.
• Take ocular and systemic histories; record visual acuity.
• Administer topical ophthalmic or oral medications as directed.
• Assist with in-office procedures and informed consent.
• Educate patients and maintain exam room cleanliness.
• Comply with procedures and state/federal regulations.
• Report inventory needs to leadership for ordering.
• Participate in daily huddles and team meetings.
