Vision Innovation Partners seeks an Ophthalmic Technician I to join our patient care team and support providers with diagnostic and treatment-related procedures and administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Experience in the medical field such as medical assistant, scribe, patient care tech, nursing assistant, or pharmacy tech.
• Experience with EMR tools.
• Proficient with MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Experience as ophthalmic technician or scribe is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take medical histories and verify information.
• Perform visual function and diagnostic tests such as applanation tonometry, refraction, and retinoscopy.
• Use tools like Humphrey Field Analyzer and OCT to take eye measurements.
• Inform ophthalmologist about changes in visual acuity and eye issues.
• Dilate eyes to prepare patients for exams.
• Explain how to use eye drops or medications.
• Explain how to use contact lenses.
• Assist with inventory management.

We are seeking an Ophthalmic Technician I to join our patient care team. Our ideal candidate would have medical experience and passion for patient care. We are willing to provide on-the-job training and experience to the right candidate as they work towards a career path of an ophthalmic technician or scribe. In this role, your primary tasks are to assist the providers with diagnostic and treatment-oriented procedures and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do:

• Take medical histories and verify information
• Perform visual function and diagnostic tests, such as applanation tonometry, refraction, and retinoscopy
• Utilize tools such as a Humphrey field analyzer and OCT to take eye measurements
• Inform the ophthalmologist about changes to a patient's visual acuity and other vision issues
• Dilate eyes to prepare patients for their eye exam
• Explain how to properly use eye drops or other medications
• Explain how to properly use contact lenses
• Assist with inventory management

Qualifications

What You Will Bring:
