The Ophthalmic Technician provides direct patient care, demonstrating competencies in quality improvement, person and family-centered care, professionalism, safety, teamwork, and technology. Works closely with healthcare team to coordinate care, develops knowledge and skills for individualized care, and complies with all regulations. Assists ophthalmologists with patient care, completes patient histories, and must become certified within 12 months of hire.
