Job summary

Eye Surgical Associates in Lincoln, NE seeks a dedicated Ophthalmic Technician to join our high-tech, high-care ophthalmology team. You will be the first point of contact, preparing patients, documenting medical histories, and assisting with specialized eye imaging.

We provide comprehensive training and opportunities to cross-train across specialties, with CPR and Medication Aide licensure support. This is a full-time role with weekday hours and occasional satellite-clinic travel.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; CPR certification within 60 days.
  • Medication Aide licensure within 90 days of start.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and a team‑first attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients, document histories, medications, and the primary reason for their visit.
  • Operate ophthalmic testing equipment for visual acuity and specialized eye imaging.
  • Support ophthalmologists during exams and in-office surgical procedures.

You will:Prepare Patients: Room patients and document medical histories, medications, and the primary reason for their visit.Diagnostic Testing: Learn to operate state-of-the-art equipment to perform visual acuity tests and specialized eye imaging.Clinical Support: Assist our ophthalmologists during exams and in-office surgical procedures.Patient Care: Provide a compassionate, professional experience for patients of all ages.Schedule & LocationHours: Full-time (80 hours per pay period).Shift: Monday – Friday, flexible shifts between 6:45 am – 5:00 pm.Travel: Occasional travel to satellite clinics may be required.What You Bring to the TableEducation: High school diploma or equivalent.Mindset: A genuine interest in healthcare and a "hunger" to learn complex new skills.Attention to Detail: The ability to follow precise medical instructions and manage data accurately.Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal communication and a team-first attitude.Requirements: Ability to obtain CPR certification (within 60 days) and Medication Aide licensure (within 90 days).A Competitive Benefits PackageWe take care of those who take care of our patients.
