Job summary

Empire Eye Clinic in Spokane Valley, WA is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our progressive ophthalmic medical and surgical practice. The role supports providers with clinical procedures, room flow, and patient communication, with on-the-job training provided.

You'll document medical histories, operate ophthalmic equipment, and help maintain instruments while upholding HIPAA standards. A high school diploma and 1 year ophthalmic assistant experience are preferred; a rewarding work

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required or preferred with ophthalmic experience.
  • Minimum basic medical terminology knowledge and ability to document patient data.
  • Ability to work in a team and multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting.
  • Maintains HIPAA procedures and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Assist providers in ophthalmic procedures, room flow, and status communication to patient and provider.
  • Ensure patient understands all instructions and document medical histories.
  • Operate ophthalmic equipment and sterilize instruments.
  • Maintain ophthalmic instruments and equipment; support staff as needed.
