Job summary

Inland Eye Specialists in Murrieta, CA is seeking a temporary full-time Ophthalmic Technician to join our practice. The role includes preparing patients, conducting pre-exam testing, administering eye medications, and assisting physicians during minor procedures. Travel to other locations may be required.

We value patient care, teamwork, and a positive attitude. Certified Ophthalmic Assistants or Technicians are especially preferred; COA/OSC/COT are a plus, with experience in a multi-specialty

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly with patients, staff and doctors.
• Basic computer literacy required.
• Willingness to travel to other offices occasionally.
• Ability to walk and stand for eight hours.
• Experience in a multi-specialty clinic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients to see Ophthalmologist or Optometrist and conduct preliminary exams.
• Perform pre-exam testing including visual acuity and other ocular assessments.
• Administer eye medications and assist during minor surgical and laser procedures.
• Maintain ophthalmic instruments and assist physicians during procedures.
• Travel to other locations as needed to support clinical needs.
• Open/close exam lanes and ensure equipment is cleaned and ready.
