Job summary

Atrius Health in Concord, MA is seeking a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) to support ophthalmology services. You will perform testing, assist in procedures, and help patients navigate care within a multi-location health system.

Responsibilities include patient history intake, vision testing, and equipment maintenance. Certification efforts supported; potential travel between sites may be required.

Qualifications

• COA pathway: willingness to obtain COA certification within two years.
• EMR experience and ability to learn EMR systems quickly.
• Ability to assist in ophthalmic testing and basic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet and guide patients; collect comprehensive medical/ocular history.
• Perform vision tests and preliminary ophthalmic assessments.
• Assist with minor surgical procedures and apply eye dressings.
• Operate and troubleshoot ophthalmic equipment; maintain instrument sterility.
• Educate patients on medications and procedures; support front desk tasks.
