Columbus Ophthalmology Associates is seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Technician to support patient flow and assist physicians with preliminary testing at our Columbus offices. The role includes verifying insurance details and communicating with patients, doctors, and staff to ensure smooth appointments.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and a customer-service mindset, with knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare operations a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• COA or COT certification preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient flow.
• Assist the doctor in preliminary testing.
• Verify medical and vision insurances.
• Communicate with patients, doctors, and managers.
• Answer inquiries by phone, email, or in person.
