ReFocus Eye Health in Westwood, NJ seeks an Ophthalmic Technician to join our growing ophthalmology team. You will gather patient information, perform preliminary testing, and support surgeons during procedures.

The role emphasizes excellent patient care, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinic. The schedule includes Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 8A–5P with some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proven Ophthalmic Technician experience.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of medical office procedures.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Gather comprehensive patient information with ophthalmologists to inform diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Conduct preliminary ophthalmic testing (e.g., visual acuity, pupillary responses).
• Administer diagnostics (OCT, perimetry, ophthalmic photography).
• Assist in surgical procedures and laser treatments.
• Manage patient flow in clinic and imaging areas; collaborate with staff.
• Administer eye drops and support administrative tasks.
