Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician in Cincinnati, OH to support ophthalmologists with patient testing and exam prep. The role involves testing eye function, assisting with procedures, and ensuring accurate documentation in the EMR.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience. Travel to another Cincinnati office is required; mileage reimbursement is provided. Full benefits and PTO accompany a competitive base pay.

Qualifications

  • Must comply with HIPAA confidentiality standards when communicating patient information.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients promptly, display a professional attitude, and thank them on departure.
  • Anticipate physician needs to facilitate clinic flow.
  • Comply with all company policies and HIPAA procedures.
  • Record patient data in the EMR and review medical history.
  • Perform tests and maintain instruments (e.g., dilatation, refraction, OCT, visual fields).
  • Prepare patients for treatments and measure vital signs as required.
  • Open/close exam rooms and perform general office duties as needed.
