Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Informs patients of the purpose of all tests performed and how they will be affected during the test.
  • Obtains patient history, including chief complaint, present/ past illness, family history, allergies, medications; updates medication sheet.
  • Performs documentation and measurements: blood pressure, refractions, TA's, K Readings, Visual Field testing, Corneal mapping, auto refraction.
  • Assists in complex medical procedures; direct patient care including post-surgical wound care.
  • Determines next patient based on physician's bin or emergencies.
