Job summary

OCLI Vision is hiring a fully trained Ophthalmic Technician 2 for our East Hanover, NJ clinic. The role focuses on pre-exam workups, patient history, and diagnostic testing to support physicians in diagnosing eye conditions.

We require at least 2 years of refracting experience, strong communication, and a patient‑focused, team‑oriented approach. This is a part‑time position with a competitive hourly pay range and comprehensive benefits.

The Opportunity

We’re hiring a fully trained Ophthalmic Technician 2 with 2+ years of refracting experience. You’ll handle pre-exam workups, patient history, and diagnostic testing—playing a key role in patient care and supporting our physicians in diagnosing and treating eye conditions.

What You’ll Do

Apply anesthetic, dilating, and medicated drops

Collect/process specimens

Triage urgent cases and maintain clinic flow

Prep rooms and assist physicians during procedures

Perform basic equipment maintenance

Follow infection‑control and confidentiality standards

What You’ll Need

Ability to work across all specialties and perform all ancillary tasks

Minimum 2 years refracting experience

Excellent verbal and written communication

Patient-focused, outgoing, and service-oriented

Positive attitude; strong team player

Flexible and comfortable with change

Ocular pharmacology knowledge is a plus, not required
