Job summary

Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island is hiring an Ophthalmic Technician to support doctors and ensure a smooth patient experience in our Buffalo clinic. You will perform pre-exam tasks, record patient information, and assist with routine tests and procedures.

Qualifications

• Friendly, patient-focused attitude.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit and lift up to 10 lbs as needed.
• Knowledge of ocular pharmacology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Record vision, depth, color, and peripheral tests.
• Apply eye drops and collect/process specimens.
• Triage emergencies and manage patient flow.
• Prep rooms and assist doctors during procedures.
• Maintain equipment and infection control protocols.

The Opportunity

We're seeking Ophthalmic Technicians to support our doctors and ensure a smooth patient experience. You'll handle pre-exam work, gather patient info, perform routine tests, and assist with procedures.

What You'll Do

• Record vision, depth, color, and peripheral tests
• Apply eye drops, collect/process specimens
• Triage emergencies and manage patient flow
• Prep rooms and assist doctors during procedures
• Maintain equipment and follow infection control protocols
