ReFocus Eye Health in Hatboro, PA is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to support ophthalmologists with testing and patient care. You will perform preliminary exams, assist in diagnostic procedures, and help manage patient flow in both clinic and imaging rooms.

Travel to Penndel may be required as part of the role. The ideal candidate will have experience in ophthalmic testing, excellent communication, and a commitment to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • Must have strong patient-care instincts and attention to detail.
  • Experience conducting ophthalmic testing and preliminary exams.
  • Familiarity with medical office procedures and patient documentation.
  • Ability to perform indirect administrative tasks and support clinic workflow.
  • COA certification not required but preferred for eye-care certification.

Responsibilities

  • Gather comprehensive patient information with ophthalmologists.
  • Conduct preliminary exams: visual acuity, pupillary responses, etc.
  • Perform diagnostics: OCT, perimetry, ophthalmic photography.
  • Assist in minor surgeries and laser procedures.
  • Streamline patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms.
  • Administer eye drops (Certification Required).
  • Support clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.

Your Impact:
  • Elevate patient care: Work closely with our ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information, ensuring accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
  • Master ophthalmic testing: Conduct thorough preliminary examinations, including visual acuity, pupillary responses, and more.
  • Perform advanced diagnostics: Administer a range of diagnostic tests, such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
  • Assist in surgical procedures: Support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking.
  • Streamline patient flow: Efficiently manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff.
  • Administer eye drops: (Certification Required)
  • Contribute to clinic efficiency: Perform clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
