Job Summary: Center For Sight is seeking an experienced, motivated, and compassionate Ophthalmic Technician. This position requires travel between the Venice and Sarasota locations. The Ophthalmic Technician will perform patient workups and ophthalmic testing, including history taking, scribing, visual acuity, lensometry, tonometry, motility, visual fields, pupil assessment, manifest refractions, administering anesthetic & dilation drops, and other tests as needed. They may also perform clerical, stocking, and maintenance functions.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Participate in delivering patient care according to company standards and policies.
  2. Perform stocking and maintenance functions based on inventory needs.
  3. Maintain the physical environment of exam and procedure rooms.
  4. Perform clerical tasks such as returning patient calls, processing prescriptions, recording patient information in EMR, and scanning documents.
  5. Interact courteously with patients and visitors, demonstrating professionalism and sensitivity.
  6. Maintain confidentiality of patient and co-worker information.
  7. Contribute to a positive work environment.
  8. Engage in professional development and support team development.
  9. Adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies, including the Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
