Job summary

ReFocus Eye Health in Manchester, CT is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our growing ophthalmology team for a 32-hour work week. You will perform preliminary testing, assist with procedures, and help manage patient flow in the clinic and imaging rooms. A focus on patient care, accuracy, and teamwork is essential.

Certification such as COA is a bonus, and a high school diploma is required. This role blends clinical testing with front-desk responsibilities to support our busy practice.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Ophthalmic Technician (clinical testing and procedures).
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Knowledge of medical office procedures is beneficial.
• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Elevate Patient Care by gathering patient information and supporting diagnoses.
• Master Ophthalmic Testing, including visual acuity and pupillary responses.
• Perform Advanced Diagnostics such as OCT, perimetry, and photography.
• Assist in surgical procedures and laser treatments as needed.
• Manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms to improve efficiency.
• Administer eye drops (Certification Required).
• Support front desk and clerical tasks to ensure smooth workflow.

Our established multi-specialty Ophthalmology group is seeking a skilled professional to join our friendly and dedicated team. If you're passionate about providing exceptional patient care and eager to grow in a supportive environment, we want to hear from you! The ideal candidate would enjoy multitasking; working as a technician and assisting with front desk responsibilities as needed.

32 Hours per week

Your Impact:

• Elevate Patient Care: Work closely with our ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information, ensuring accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
• Master Ophthalmic Testing: Conduct thorough preliminary examinations, including visual acuity, pupillary responses, and more.
• Perform Advanced Diagnostics: Administer a range of diagnostic tests, such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
• Assist in Surgical Procedures: Support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking.
• Streamline Patient Flow: Efficiently manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff.
• Administer Eye Drops: (Certification Required)
• Contribute to Clinic Efficiency: Perform clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow.
• Front Desk: Assist with front desk and clerical responsibilities as needed
