ReFocus Eye Health in Hamden, CT is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to support our ophthalmology team. You will assist with patient care, ophthalmic testing, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preliminary ophthalmic testing including visual acuity and pupil responses.
• Administer tests such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
• Assist in minor surgeries and laser procedures.
• Manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms.
• Administer eye drops (certification required).
• Handle clinical and administrative tasks to maintain workflow.

Your Impact:

• Elevate patient care: Work closely with our ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information, ensuring accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.


• Master ophthalmic testing: Conduct thorough preliminary examinations, including visual acuity, pupillary responses, and more.


• Perform advanced diagnostics: Administer a range of diagnostic tests, such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.


• Assist in surgical procedures: Support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking.


• Streamline patient flow: Efficiently manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff.


• Administer eye drops: (Certification Required)


• Contribute to clinic efficiency: Perform clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow.
