Position Overview

As an ophthalmic technician at See Vision Eye Institute, at See Vision Eye Institute, you’ll be a crucial partner in our medical team, ensuring a smooth patient experience and supporting our ophthalmologists in surgical and clinical care. You’ll play a pivotal role in understanding patients' needs, performing initial workups, and documenting essential medical information that helps guide their care journey.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables as an Ophthalmic Technician
Team Player and Collaboration

  • Play an active role in the full patient care experience, from the first appointment to post-treatment follow-ups.
  • Maintain awareness of quality and productivity KPIs that align with our mission to deliver excellent care efficiently.
Patient Experience and Education
  • Treat every patient like family, ensuring they have a positive experience throughout their visit.
  • Work collaboratively to manage patient flow, ensuring timely appointments while never compromising on care quality.
  • Remove friction from the patient journey, ensuring a smooth process from check-in to check-out.
  • Educate patients on their care plan and assist the provider in delivering clear, expert clinical guidance.
  • Ensure patient areas are always clean, welcoming, and reflective of our commitment to excellence.
Data Management
  • Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring that patient data is securely managed.
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines and other protocols to safeguard patient privacy.
  • Ensure compliance with CPT and ICD-10 coding standards for accurate billing and timely insurance reimbursement.
Personal Development
  • Work towards earning JCAHPO certification to enhance your skills and professional credibility.
