Who You Are

We are seeking a dedicated Full-time Ophthalmic Refractive Technician that is detail oriented and customer focused to join our dynamic ophthalmology practice. As a valued member of our practice, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional patient care and smooth clinic operations. Some travel between our Monmouth County locations may be required. $5,000 bonus for eligiblecandidates (terms & conditions apply).

What You'll Do
  • Facilitate office-based refractive surgical procedures, specializing in advanced techniques like LASIK and PRK.
  • Provide comprehensive support to patients undergoing procedures, including assistance with drops, addressing queries, and alleviating concerns.
  • Extend a warm and professional welcome to patients and visitors, ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously.
  • Gather detailed patient histories efficiently, ensuring all pertinent information is documented accurately.
  • Conduct precise assessments of visual acuity to inform treatment plans effectively.
  • Skillfully perform manifest refractions to refine vision correction needs.
  • Utilize advanced technology to obtain intraocular pressure measurements and other diagnostic data.
  • Conduct a range of diagnostic tests with expertise, leveraging cutting-edge equipment such as OCT, VF, Pentacam, Lenstar, and Fundus cameras to provide comprehensive evaluations.
What You Bring
  • Experience with refractive surgery such as LASIK and PRK.
  • Strong Refractometry Skills.
  • Allegretto Wave Laser Certification.
  • C.O.A. / C.O.T. / C.O.M.T. certification.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must be willing to travel between offices
