Tyson Eye in Cape Coral, FL is seeking a motivated ophthalmic professional to join our team as a COA/COT track or CPOA/OMA candidate. We support ongoing training and offer pay increases as certifications are achieved.

Our team is cross-trained across ophthalmology services and research. Responsibilities include reviewing patient charts, preparing for exams, opening/closing exam rooms, and performing diagnostic tests such as OCT and visual fields.

Qualifications

  • Current certification as CPOA, OMA, COA or willingness to become COA or COT.
  • Strong commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review patient chart(s) for exams and screenings.
  • Work up patients for eye exams and coordinate with physicians.
  • Open and close exam rooms and maintain readiness.
  • Provide the highest quality of customer service to patients.
  • Perform diagnostic tests such as OCT, Retina Camera, Visual Field, and tonometry.
  • Screen patients for clinical trials and trials eligibility.

Tyson Eye is seeking a motivated candidate who is a CPOA, OMA, COA or wishes to become a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT). The majority of our technicians become Certified Ophthalmic Assistants (COA) within 18 months of joining our team.
