$3,000 retention bonus available for full time Ophthalmic Technicians. Under the supervision of Lead Ophthalmic Technician, we are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to serve as an Ophthalmic Technician on our growing team at our Burlington practice (172 Cambridge St, Burlington MA). This position will require travel between our other clinics as needed. Travel reimbursement is available. The technician team performs duties of a clinical assistant specializing in anatomy, function, and diseases of the eye. Technicians facilitate patient care by performing the preliminary 'work up' of the patient. This includes gathering all past medical records, performing preliminary eye function and diagnostic testing needed for the physician to diagnose and treat such eye conditions.
Under the direction of the physician, technicians may administer eye medications and maintain optical and surgical instruments as well as assist in surgical procedures such as Lasik Eye Surgery. No prior experience is required as we offer a full in-house training program.
Full Time position, Monday-Friday, variation 8:00am-5:00pm.
Boston Vision currently has 7 locations in the Metro-Boston area. Staff may be asked to assist in other locations as business demands. Our doctors routinely support staff applications to medical schools, osteopathic schools, or PA programs with letters of recommendation.
