Job summary

Eye Care Specialists seeks a dependable Ophthalmic Technician to join our Norfolk and Norwood locations. Prior ophthalmic experience is welcomed, with training provided for the right candidate.

You will obtain patient histories, perform visual testing and imaging, prepare rooms, and document in the EMR, supporting a smooth patient flow in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

  • Ophthalmic or optometric technician experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Comfortable learning and operating ophthalmic equipment.
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and EMRs is a plus.

Ophthalmic Technician – Norfolk & Norwood Locations

Eye Care Specialists is seeking a dependable and motivated Ophthalmic Technician to join our growing ophthalmology and optometry practice. This position will work at both our Norfolk and Norwood locations. Prior ophthalmic experience is welcomed, but we are happy to provide training to the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and document patients' medical and ocular histories
  • Perform preliminary testing, including visual acuity, lensometry, tonometry, and diagnostic imaging
