Job summary

Southwest Retina Eye Center in Wisconsin seeks a Certified Ophthalmic Technician to support workups and evaluations of ophthalmic patients in a busy medical practice.

You will perform ophthalmic testing (Visual Fields, IOL Master, Fluorescein Angiograms, OCTs, B-scan, color photography), assist with transfers from wheelchairs, and ensure HIPAA-compliant handling of records; training toward certification is provided after one year.

Qualifications

• Experience in ophthalmic testing and patient history taking.
• HIPAA compliant in medical records and EMR.
• Ability to assist in transferring patients from wheelchairs to examination chairs.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move about the medical office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the workup and evaluation of ophthalmic patients.
• Perform ophthalmic testing (Visual Fields, IOL Master, Fluorescein Angiograms, OCTs, B scans, etc.).
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Support patient transfers and overall office flow; will train toward certification after 1 year.
