Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA seeks an Ophthalmic Technician to perform diagnostic and therapeutic ophthalmic procedures and coordinate patient care. You will help manage clinics and support Eye Center staff and residents within a collaborative team.

Requirements include 1 year of ophthalmic experience, and certification such as BLS and COT, with trade school training in ophthalmic technology. This is a day shift position at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

As an Ophthalmic Tech with Sentara, you will be responsible for the performance of procedures for the diagnostic and treatment of ophthalmic disease. With the Manager of the Eye Center for Sight, the Technician/Technologist will coordinate patient care to meet the expectations of the patients and staff. Along with the completion of technical procedures, the Technician/Technologist will manage clinics as assigned. Responsible for providing assistance to the Eye Center staff and Ophthalmology residents.
