Job summary

OCLI Vision in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking ophthalmic technicians and scribes to support providers and enhance the patient experience. You will perform pre-exam testing, document encounters in the EMR, assist during exams and procedures, and help ensure smooth patient flow throughout the clinic.

The role emphasizes accuracy in documentation and patient care, with opportunities to grow within a large ophthalmology network. Prior EMR experience and strong communication are valued.

Qualifications

• EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient history.
• Perform vision testing (distance, near, peripheral, depth, color).
• Administer eye drops (dilating, anesthetic, medicated).
• Conduct routine and ancillary ophthalmic testing.
• Scribe and document provider findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
• Triage urgent cases and maintain patient flow.
• Prepare exam/procedure rooms and assist physicians as needed.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Follow infection control and confidentiality standards.

Salary Range: $20.00 To $25.00 Hourly

The Role

We’re hiring compassionate and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technicians and Scribes to support our providers and enhance the patient experience.

In this role, you’ll perform pre-exam testing, document patient encounters in the EMR, assist during exams and procedures, and help ensure smooth patient flow throughout the clinic.

You play a key role in helping our physicians diagnose and treat eye conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient history
• Perform vision testing (distance, near, peripheral, depth, color)

What You’ll Bring

• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 10 lbs
