Job summary

OCLI Vision in Fairfield, CT is seeking an Ophthalmic Scribe 2 to support physicians during exams, document real-time patient interactions, and assist with testing and procedures. This full-time clinic role offers hands-on exposure to a wide range of ophthalmic care.

You will prepare patient charts, document encounters, track orders, perform tests (visual acuity, tonometry, dilation, OCT, VF), and educate patients.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Outgoing, dependable, and service-oriented.

• Knowledge of ocular pharmacology is a plus (not required).
• Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient charts/EMRs and exam rooms.
• Accurately document physician-patient interactions.
• Track orders, prescriptions, and testing.
• Perform ophthalmic testing and work up (visual acuity, tonometry, dilation, OCT, VF).
• Educate patients on procedures, testing, and prescriptions.
• Audit charts for accuracy.
• Provide exceptional patient care and service.
