Job summary

American Vision Partners (AVP) is seeking an Ophthalmic Procedure Technician to support clinic operations, prep and draw up medications for procedures, and assist physicians during treatments. The role includes documenting in EHR systems and ensuring medication reconciliation is complete across sites.

You will help maintain patient flow, support inventory control, and coordinate with referral/benefit teams to obtain procedure approvals, while traveling to satellite locations as needed and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year back-office experience in healthcare.
• Must be computer literate.
• Knowledge of HIPAA.
• Attention to detail and personal organization.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend written policies and documents.
• Consistent, predictable and reliable attendance.
• Willingness to travel with care team to various locations and satellites.

Responsibilities

• Preps, logs, and draws up medications for procedures.
• Assists with clinical procedures such as injections and lasers.
• Documents procedures in EHR per workflow.
• Ensures sanitation, cleaning and sterilization of rooms and instruments.
• Performs diagnostic testing to improve clinic flow.
• Supports inventory and medication stock-up across locations.
• Back-up Scribe to the Physician.
• Interacts with patients, staff, and providers in a friendly manner.
• Coordinates with referral and benefit teams for approvals.
