Job summary

Southgate Surgery Center in Michigan is seeking a PRN Medical Assistant (Ophthalmic Technician) to support ophthalmologists and patients during visits. The role focuses on patient care, vitals monitoring, sterile technique, and daily clinical tasks.

Training is provided, and shifts are 1–2 days per week within the center's daytime hours, with occasional adjustments to meet patient and facility needs. This position emphasizes teamwork and high-quality patient service.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and assist with patient transport.
• Maintain aseptic technique at all times.
• Assist with stocking OR supplies and inventory.
• Check and document equipment and temperatures daily.
• Support pre-op and post-op instructions with patients.
